I know we hear the same rhetoric every election cycle, but this time feels different. With combination of COVID-19, racial injustice, an unpresidential President, I feel more compelled to vote than I ever have.
With the swiftly approaching election, I want to make sure people know their rights. Some ask, do I need my ID to vote? What are some voter suppression tactics to look out for?
To help clear up some misconceptions, I reached to the president of Michigan’s League of Women Voters Dearborn-Dearborn Heights, Mary Jo Durivage. Listen to her interview.
I learned so much especially thought provoking about the subtle snd not so subtle types of voter suppression.
Yes, me too! Thank you for listening!
This was a great conversation. I loved Mary Jo’s laugh and clear, easy to understand directions and information. I feel empowered not only to cast my vote but also deeply aware of how profound that right is. I will look up Vote411.org in my home state of California. Thank you.
Thank you so much for listening! I learned about Vote411.org too!
